Hey guys, happy Friday!
Today I have the Cirque Colors Metropolis shades for the month of October to show you! The Metropolis collection is a series of creme finishes inspired by New York City, with new permanent shades being released each month.
For October, the two polishes released are very conducive to a Halloween color palette!
First, there is Cirque Colors- McKittrick:
McKittrick is a deep, balanced forest green that maybe leans slightly warm-toned (more yellow). The formula was great! It has a workable crelly texture that paints on easily, self-levels, and is opaque in two coats!
And, then there is Cirque Colors- Velvet Underground:
Velvet Underground is a deep eggplant that leans slightly to the cooler side of purple. This one also had an excellent formula, but it was less of a crelly and more of a true creme, texture-wise. Also opaque in two easy coats!
When I saw these two colors together I had to try a gradient for some reason, so that's how I'm presenting them!
I just love purple and green together at Halloween!
Of course, gradients make me want to put extra nail art on top, so I decided to try some of the new Whats Up Nails Halloween vinyls/ nail stickers!
The actual stencils/vinyls:
These are pretty cool because you can utilize them either as stencils by peeling up the entire thing and using it to mask areas on the nail, paint over, and then remove (this is what I normally do). Or, you can use the interior designs as stickers, basically, and just position and adhere to your nail! So, very flexible!
So for this manicure, I used all of the nail art stickers as actual stickers, except for the bones on the ring nail, which is a stencil:
My stenciled bones don't look super crisp up close, but I totally loved this nail from afar!
On each of the Whats Up Nails nail art sticker/ stencil sheets, there are a few different sizes of each design, which is really nice since you can tailor them to your individual nail sizes.
I was pretty happy with my first Halloween nail art!
