Hey everyone! Today I've got a really gorgeous, sparkly polish to show you, Formula X for Sephora- Mischievous!
Last month, I took a risk and purchased this one online sight unseen (I couldn't find any swatches for it at the time), and was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was way more beautiful than the little "swatch" picture that Formula X provides! (Now, since I've had it, Spit & Polish has swatched Mischievous, and you can truly see how blinged-out it is!)
Mischievous is from the Ombre Glitters line, and is a slightly reddish base filled with bright green shimmer as well as small champagne-pink hexagonal glitters. This is a very shifty polish, showing limey green at the center, where the light hits the green shimmer, and pink at the edges.
The color of the small glitters is very complimentary to the reddish color of the base, and really ties everything together.
Artificial light, two coats:
This one was very hard to photograph since it was so light-reflective! But you can see how it wants to be pink and green at the same time- so pretty!
I also thought this was very flattering on my skintone.
Formula: Really nice! It has a great consistency that is not too thick or thin, and it spreads over the nail easily. It was opaque in two coats for me, so has a really excellent level of pigmentation for a glitter/ shimmer mix!
(I will say that, since it's a glitter, it's extremely difficult to remove, and I had to use the foil method. The hexes are so small that it's easy to forget that this is actually a glitter, so I didn't plan in advance and use a peel base. Oops!)
What do you think?
