Illamasqua- Harem [Swatch]

Illamasqua- Harem is part of the Broken Heart collection along with Venous and Pink Raindrops.

It's also one of the three newest Illamasqua polishes added to the Sephora inventory for Spring 2013 (along with Venous and Superstition (swatch to come!)).

Harem is a very blue-based pink creme.  Like a bubblegum pink with a twist: very, very bright & lavender-toned, while still being a pink.

Artificial light, two coats:

Window-filtered daylight:

It's oddly flattering on pale skin.  I can't think of another pink like this, and it's unique to my collection!

Outside, shade:

I used to be afraid of pinks like this, thinking they were overly girly. However, this one is so bright and unique, it's sort of a statement in itself, and I enjoyed wearing it.

Formula:  Creamy and amazing!  It's neither too thick nor too thin, and flows over the nail easily. The first coat is slightly streaky, but it self-levels well, and the streaks magically fill-in!  The second coat is opaque.

I wore this one for a few days, and it did chip more readily than other Illamasquas I've tried, (but no more than any regular polish).  I just mention it because usually Illamasquas wear like iron on me.
