Orly- Miss Conduct [Swatch] & [Comparison]

Today I have an exciting polish to show you! It's Orly- Miss Conduct from the 2012 Winter Naughty Or Nice collection.  And, this polish is definitely the star of the collection- my only pick, actually.

Miss Conduct is a dark, raspberry pink holographic-finish polish. Some might even say it's fuschia or magenta. It has definite flashes of red within the holo effect as well.

Artificial light, two coats:

When the holographic effect is not visible (like in indoor light), it does give the polish a ton of depth.

Outside, shade:

Sun!

Formula: On the thinner side, but doesn't run away into cuticles.  Still, it is thinner than I personally prefer polishes to be, however I know some people will love this formula.  Two coats were all that was needed for opacity.

I will say that this polish chips easily (as a lot of holos do). In about 36 hours, it chipped very badly on me, even though it was worn with topcoat. (I did play guitar, but most polishes withstand it for at least a couple of days.)  Just something to know.

Comparison time!

I realized once I wore Miss Conduct that it reminded me of a polish that I've acquired and know I'm going to love, but have yet to wear.  I'm talking about OPI- DS Extravagance.

Here they are side by side:

Window-filtered daylight:

Left to Right: OPI- DS Extravagance, Orly- Miss Conduct

They are very obviously different; OPI- DS Extravagance is much darker, but they're in a similar color family.  The holographic effect within these two is about equal as well.

The OPI, if you're wondering, has the superior formula (although also chips easily).

    1. I agree! Not too often that scattered holos get released by major brands.

  2. This has been on my wishlist for longer now - too bad it's either super expensive here, or shipping is riddiculous. I'm crossing my fingers I'll get this in a swap someday! :)
    Great pics btw!!
