[Press Release] OPI- James Bond Skyfall Collection (Holiday 2012)

"This holiday season, OPI celebrates the 50th Anniversary of a fellow world icon – James Bond – appearing in Skyfall. Starring Daniel Craig and Javier Bardem, this highly-anticipated twenty-third installment opens in theaters nationwide on November 9, 2012."

"Inspired by the film’s blend of glamour and danger, OPI launches Skyfall Collection, featuring twelve limited-edition nail lacquers for Holiday 2012":

The Spy Who Loved Me

This rich high-shimmer magenta is a once-in-a-lifetime find.

This eternally intense purple will live forever.

The World is Not Enough
This rosy silver is as addictive as it is beautiful.

I was super excited about The Living Daylights, but I saw a swatch somewhere that showed the glitter curling.  Boo, OPI!  I wonder if they will fix that issue or not.

There will also be an 18K gold flake topcoat, called The Man With The Golden Gun, which I believe will retail for about $38 (Yikes!)

What do you guys think? Are you excited for this collection? I'm not a particularly huge James Bond fan, but it's a neat idea for a collection. I think a couple of these colors will be dupish to recent polishes already out there, but a few look unique. Thoughts?

  1. I want this collection just because it's OPI and I've loved every one of their polishes! And I totally want the gold one just to say I have it :P

    1. I love OPI too! I think I will have to see these in person before I commit though!

  2. Sephora has a real gold flake topcoat called
" It's Real " for $30...still too steep, but at least it's a bit cheaper than the one in this collection. I've heard it's on sale for $8 at the Sephora's inside JC Penney stores.

I want Living Daylights and will pass on the rest.

    1. Yea, it seems like everyone has a real gold flake topcoat these days. I think Zoya just came out with one too. I'm going to hunt down Living Daylights in person, so i can take a look at the glitter myself.

  3. I have The Living Daylights! I haven't actually worn it yet but I've swatched it a few times on wheels and on my nails and it seems to behave well! I also have the Bondettes mini set. I'm tempted to get a full size of The World Is Not Enough though...love that one!
